Ian Shadle is a staff physical therapist at North Hills Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. He graduated from Duquesne University, where he completed both his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Ian now works as an adjunct professor for Duquesne University’s athletic training department. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC),  Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS).

Ian has a diverse background in sports medicine, including an internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He currently consults with the United States Olympic Committee to provide care for the national rifle and pistol shooting teams. He enjoys being involved in the North Hills community and is Eden Christian Academy’s head athletic trainer. 

Ian’s clinical interests include lower extremity biomechanics, athlete performance and prevention, and promoting interprofessionalism between healthcare providers. He is currently a professional member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Athletic Training Association (NATA), and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Ian has published in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation and enjoys giving back to the Pittsburgh community by volunteering to cover events such as Special Olympics and the Pittsburgh Marathon.
