CHRISTOPHER HUGHES

Christopher James Hughes has been a staff physical therapist at North Hills Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy since 1993. Christopher completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine at Slippery Rock University .He then continued his education, receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation Engineering from the University of Virginia. Christopher is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Christopher is currently a Professor for the School of Physical Therapy at Slippery Rock University. Hughes's clinic specializes in rehabilitation for the knees and shoulders of young athletes and older adults. He is a member of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
Christopher also specializes in Biodex Isokinectic Testing. The Biodex system is an advanced, versatile and reliable technology developed for the testing and rehabilitation of the human musculoskeletal system. Biofeedback is provided through high resolution color graphics to encourage patient compliance with exercise protocols.It can be used to screen patients prior to returning to a sport or used as a treatment technique in the rehab process. We use evidence-based clinical protocols in conjunction with practical clinical application to ensure the best patient outcomes.
